Ayneh Films was formed in the Summer of 2002 by Ken Cabot and I while we were on a service trip to Costa Rica. It is our way to show a reflection of the Baha'i community on film. Ayneh is the Persian word for mirror.

Mona Mahmudnizhad was a teacher of children's classes in the
Baha'i community of Shiraz, Iran. At age 16, during the country's intense
political revolution, she was the youngest of 9 women who became targets of the regime's persecution of religious minorities, and in 1983 they were executed, to great public outcry. Twenty years later, Mark Perry and The Drama Circle performed a play to honor her story of service, emprisonment and martyrdom. This film documents that journey, and tells the true story of Mona's life. August 2004. |
